Spring Coaching and Psychology aims to be as clear as possible about how and why personal information about you is held, so that you can be confident that your privacy is protected. This policy describes the information that is collected when you contact us and when you or your child attends the Clinic.

Responsibilities to keep an store your information securely

Spring Coaching and Psychology is required to inform you under Data Protection Laws about the information we collect and store about individuals, and what we are likely to do with this information.  As a HCPC registered  clinical psychologist, I am required to collect and store personal information  as part of health records relating to psychological therapy, which are kept in accordance with legal requirements set out in Regulation 20 of the Health and Social Care Act 2006 ( Regulated Activities) 2010. As a EMCC accredited coach/mentor, I work within the EMCC guidance for the secure storage of notes  relating to coaching /mentoring in line with GDPR.

When people enquire about Spring Coaching and Psychology, the contact information is kept secure and deleted should the potential client decide not to go ahead with therapy or coaching. The data will not be share with any other agencies and will only be used to communicate with people about their service.

What Information do we store and how is it kept secure?

I collect information that is essential the provision  of psychological therapy, including contact details/next of kin and store this on a GDPR compliant patient management data system called WriteUpp with protected access.I also use this system to store notes relating to caching and mentoring  in line with EMCC Coaching/mentoring accreditation guidance.

Sharing of information

The information I collect is collected solely for the provision of clinical psychology and coaching services and will not be used for any other purposes or shared without consent. The exception to this is if there are concerns regarding your safety or the safety of others.

Your Rights

Individuals have the right to choose to withdraw their consent for the storing or sharing of information at any stage, but this may impact on the ability to provide therapy. There is a legal responsibility to keep therapy health records for treatment and for a length of time after treatment has finished ( usually 7 years) after which records will be deleted. The individual has the right to request access to their records. Spring Psychology and Coaching is registered with the Information Commission Office.
